Humility 101

I was reading a great tutorial on this subject this morning in Alma 38 . Alma is talking to his son Shiblon, telling him he's been through a lot and that he's been faithful. The last half of the chapter is sort of checklist on how to keep yourself humble. I found this helpful because I know when things are going well in life it's easy to start to think "Hey I'm not doing half bad" and forget who's gotten you there. I know that through my trials and through the help I've received to get through them I've become a stronger person and that I've had nothing to do with that. Good stuff those scriptures are.

Burnt Out Day

So the day after my productive day I was so burnt out that I didn't do anything physical but exercise that morning. But I still did accomplish my tasks... it just wasn't until a few days later. Slow but steady wins the race. It turns out I'm not superwoman after all.

Productive Day

I love days like today! I mopped my wood floors and bathroom floors. I vacuumed, dusted and cleaned all the windows upstairs. I cleaned the two upstairs bathrooms and wiped down the leather couches (leather is such a pain, fyi). Also I washed AND folded almost all my laundry including bathroom rugs. All whilst taking care of all 5 kiddos home for spring break. And lets not forget the chore lists I made for my kids! YES! I just adore a freshly cleaned house. Of course that will all be undone by my dear family. And how quickly it will happen.....Sigh
Tomorrow I hope to clean the car and vacuum and dust downstairs. Is it possible to have everything done in a day and a half? Will the gods smile down on me? We shall see!

Growing Up

Canon now drinks out of a bottle and holds it all on his own! One morning I woke up and my milk was practically gone. He grabbed onto that bottle and gobbled it down. I nurse him once in the morning and once at night, but even that is hanging on the balance. It's kind of sad for me but boy is it nice to be done and not worry if I'm getting enough calories or exercising too much... and all that time I'm saving. Good job Canon. Good job Mom!

Thinking in Blog

So I guess you know it's time to start a blog when you see things happening around you and you think, "If I had a blog, I would totally post that." So here I am, a beginner in the blogger world. But do you know what? I think I like it!

About Me

My photo
I love being a wife to an incredible husband and mother of 5 insanely cute kids! I love to be creative. Things I love to create include cute kids, attractive home, interesting photography, and anything in photoshop. This list is subject to change at anytime and only happens when time, money and energy permit! Other things I enjoy include reading, watching favorite shows together with the hubby, listening, dancing & cleaning to music, eating out (or in as long as I can enjoy someone else's cooking), organizing the house and laughing with my husband and kids. Things I don't particularly enjoy are grocery shopping, laundry for 7 people, and seeing a dirty bathroom counter right after I clean it. In general life makes me crazy sometimes but most times I feel insanely blessed and complete!
